The Tru Pointe® 1100 produced by Bacharach (USA) is  digital ultrasonic inspection system for leak detection as well mechanical inspection and troubleshooting. The Tru Pointe® 1100 detects of ultrasonic acoustics sounds generated by the turbulent flow of gases and liquids in leaks, both internal and external. The Tru Pointe® 1100 uses two independent sensors that identify external (airborne) leaks and internal (structural) leaks of any gas.

The Tru Pointe® 1100 detects with speed of sound ultrasounds generated by leaks which are inaudible to humans and pinpoints with high presision. Ultrasounds from leaks or mechanical problems, like bearing wear, are transformed into audible sounds in electronic process called heterodyning. Finally, user can hear  translated ultrasounds in the headset. Intensity of the ultrasonds is displayed on dual displays - a bar graph with peak hold and an alphanumeric multifunctional display. User can tune sensitivity on-the-fly as well tune into source of sound using sensitivity and volume controls.

The Tru Pointe® 1100 detects airborne leaks or electrical arcing in the frequency band of 34 kHz to 42 kHz and internal leaks or bearing wear in the frequency band of 16 kHz to 24 kHz using the patented internal Touch Probe sensor. The user can easily toggle between the two modes in four button clicks without having to reset any previous selections.

The Tru Pointe® 1100 (for airborne leak detection) is capable of detecting ANY Gas (compressed air, refrigerants, nitrogen, CO2, helium, vacuum and many others)

For Structural Leak Detection: The Tru Pointe® 1100 is capable of detecting internal leaks in steam traps, valves, solenoids, pumps and hydraulics (cylinders, controls, etc.).

Touch Probe- Helps convert sounds within valves or solids to airborne sound for the Tru Pointe® Ultra to detect.(Patented).
